RSSのContent-Typeはどうなっているのか、主要なサイト（自分にとって笑）のRSSのヘッダを読み込んで、Content-Typeを調べてみました。

これを見てみると、text/html(またはxml); charset=文字コード という形式が多いようです。application/xml は思ったよりも少ないですね。
